Love it or change it
There are times in life when parts of it bother you or make you uncomfortable just thinking about them. You don’t understand what’s bothering you or why. If you find yourself in this situation, here is a simple exercise that can help.
Just ask yourself, how do you feel about it? Do you love it? If the answer is no, think about how to change it.
This exercise is for those times when there are parts of your life where you find yourself waking up every morning not loving them. When you’re stuck thinking about something and not wanting to get out of bed.
Your life and happiness are too important to stay with things that you don’t love. There is no rational reason for continuing on.
I’ve found this the simplest way to figure out what to do next about big picture things in my life from relationships to what I am working on now.
It often leads to a reframing of the situation or relationship in my mind so that I can love it for what it is instead of longing for something I can’t change.
